Yoga for Childbirth: Workshop for Expecting Couples (*RESCHEDULED* from March!)

  • Awhi Yoga & Wellbeing Level 2, 15 Johnston Street Wellington New Zealand (map)

Workshop Details

Movement, breathing and meditation tools practised in yoga can profoundly support you during childbirth! This workshop will help expecting couples feel more confident and prepared for the journey ahead. We will explore common themes around birth and best practices for both the birthing person and the supporting person. You will learn ways to manage pain and methods for giving/receiving support using movement, breathing, affirmations, relaxation and more. Yoga is a mind and body practice, just as the journey of giving birth.

What this Workshop Covers

This workshop covers the different stages of labor; movements and positions for each stage of labor; pain and our relationship to it; massage techniques to relieve pain and increase endorphins.

We'll also introduce you to yoga postures (wear comfortable clothes you can move in); breathing techniques and effective positions for pushing.

Cost is $75 per couple.
