HineHau Breathwork for Women

  • AWHI Yoga & Wellbeing Level 2, 15 Johnston Street Wellington New Zealand (map)

Join Shannon Rose for this unique three-hour breathwork workshop for all wāhine.

Through story, breath, and reflection, you’ll learn and experience the power of your breath as a wāhine: to cleanse, to create, and to consciously live in alignment with who you are.

Shannon has been immersed in the practice of breath since 2017 and is recognised as one of the pioneers of breathwork in Aotearoa. She is the founder of HineHau, a breathwork training kaupapa supporting wāhine to step into leadership and facilitation through the breath.

In this workshop, you’ll be safely guided on a journey of remembrance, reconnection, and reclamation. Expect to come away feeling grounded, rejuvenated, and more at home in your body.

About the Facilitator

Shannon Rose (Ngāti Porou ki Harataunga, Ngāti Whakaue, Ngāti Whakahemo, Tūhourangi, Scotland, Croatia, England) is the founder of HineHau, a training institute dedicated to teaching breathwork through a Te Ao Māori lens to wahine, offering 200-hour practitioner certifications.

Since beginning her practice in 2017, Shannon has been part of the early wave of facilitators bringing the transformative power of breathwork to Aotearoa. Her approach is both deeply spiritual and deeply human, making the breath accessible as a tool for healing, alignment, and reconnection.

Through HineHau (formerly Elevare), Shannon has trained over 50 practitioners in the BreathWav™ modality, a practice that works with the full spectrum of the breath to release, restore, and reawaken. At the heart of her work is a commitment to weaving whakapapa, story, and ceremony into modern practice, creating spaces where wāhine can return to themselves with clarity and confidence.
