About the Facilitators

Sam McMillan: Samuel's journey into the healing and meditative benefits of sound began when he lived in London, England, later returning to Aotearoa for University study while continuing his meditative practice using sound.

Sam later moved to Qatar for five years with his wife where he trained under shamans and other master teachers in the way of the Gong and Himalayan Singing Bowls in Europe and Nepal. Samuel returned home in 2020 and has been sharing his passion for sound in the use of meditation and deep relaxation. He is currently based on the Kāpiti Coast. Follow Sam here.

Kathleen Kuehn (KK): AWHI co-owner and lead facilitator is a recovering academic-turned-studio owner with RYT 500 in Vinyasa, over 100 hours Yin + Yoga Nidra training and Level 1 Pilates certification. Her teaching approach is purposeful and alignment-based, influenced by a range of yoga styles. Often delivered with a cheeky sense of humour, KK sets an approachable environment designed to advance self-learning and personal growth.
