Yoga in Conversation Part II: Seeing Each Other

  • Awhi Yoga & Wellbeing Level 2, 15 Johnston Street Wellington New Zealand (map)

As part of our popular ‘Yoga & the Emotions’ series, this two-part mini-series draws on previous topics and discussions to explore challenging conversations as a step towards connection and healing.

In Part I (August), we explored the idea of how to hold ourselves. Part II brings those selves to meet another person in a conversation; the one about the elephant in the room, or perhaps one of many that we have realised we could handle in a way that better serves ourselves, the other person, and our relationship.

Please note that, while Part I and II are designed to complement each other, they are complete workshops separately. It is not necessary to attend both, though very welcomed.

This workshop will take a closer look at some widely-used techniques for navigating conversations, draw on yogic principles and psychology to open group discussions, and incorporate practical exercises to build our understanding of self, others, and the self in relation to others. It is co-facilitated by Megan Lawton and Dr Cherie Lacey.
