Where Does My Koha Go?

Koha proceeds support AWHI Yoga's Diversity & Inclusion Teacher Training Scholarship programme, which is open to any Māori, Pasifika, BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and other groups who have been marginalised by the yoga industry and whose voices are underrepresented in this space.  Twice a year we offer a full scholarship to cover costs for both our 200-hour Vinyasa training and our 50-hour Yin Foundations training. Your koha helps us cover these costs without having to raise our prices in order to do so.

At AWHI Yoga, we aim to create a supportive community that celebrates and values diversity and belonging. We are PROUDLY committed to diversifying yoga through our honouring of Te Ao Māori, and by creating an inclusive studio environment where all voices, bodies and identities are represented, supported and ‘awhi’d’. Our scholarship programme is just one way we support this kaupapa, which we believe can make a huge impact not just on individual teachers but their students and Aotearoa’s yoga industry broadly.
